Built for use in treadmills, ideal for use with speed controller (sold separately). Would also make an excellent DC generator. Rated for 1 HP (746W) treadmill duty or 0.75 HP (560W) continuous duty. Internal, normally closed bimetallic switch signals thermal overload.Requires external source of air-flow over motor for prolonged use. Pivot mount measures 4-1/8" long overall with 3-7/8" between flanges. Bracket has two 3/8" holes. Motor is reversible. Left hand threaded end of shaft requires clockwise rotation. Plug-and-play simplicity at its finest. I didn't even need to calibrate the speed on it like I did with my old treadmill. Hope I never have to replace it again though; this was about double what I wanted to pay for it.
